Amy Roma attended Saint Anselm College and received her Bachelor of Art in Philosophy in 2000. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Suffolk University Law School in 2003.

Amy is currently an attorney at Hogan Lovells US LLP in Washington, DC, where she specializes in nuclear energy matters, particularly matters involving the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Department of Energy. She frequently counsels NRC reactor licensees, materials licensees, and vendors on compliance with NRC requirements. She also advises clients on NRC licensing matters, including new plant licensing and the NRC's safety and environmental requirements. Amy's practice also includes advising clients on nuclear export control regulations, NRC license transfers, nuclear liability issues, and nuclear-fuel related matters, including the regulation of fuel cycle facilities and the transportation of spent nuclear fuel and other radioactive materials.

Amy began her legal career as a law clerk at the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board at the NRC before moving into private practice.

Amy resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dogs, running, and volunteering at The Arc of Montgomery County, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for individuals with cognitive disabilities.
