Associate Engineer
South Texas Project
Rafael Gonzales graduated from the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Rafael is currently employed by the South Texas Project as an Associate Engineer where he assists in preparing combined operating licenses for new nuclear plants. He also worked as a field engineer in quality control at Entact Environmental Services, on an EPA Super Fund Site located in downtown Houston.
Rafael resides in Bay City, Texas with his son and wife. Interests include mountain biking, fishing, and coaching his six year old son's soccer team. He is also a leader of a youth group in which he dedicates 3 hours a week to mentoring and providing productive activities for the young men.
